dude, when did bras start costing fifty bucks a piece?

i am depressed (read: broke) because i spent over eighty dollars on two bras (real, functional, hook and closure types).

and was told that i am no longer a 34b. i have been downgraded to a 34a.

life sucks. but at least i have cleavage.

actually, i am convinced that of all the cosmetic surgical modifications available, life will be greatly enhanced by two: boob enhancement (a small c would be nice; hell, i'll settle for a full b at this point) and lasik (i'm blind).

my goodness.

i made the right decision. if i had consented to a wearing a sari this weekend, everything would have been infinitely more awkward. had i worn one, even before i opened my mouth, i would have already been cast as the next bride. nevermind that no sane jersey bengali mother would introduce any respectable young lady to tck for marriage, from the looks of it, moms throughout the ballroom rejoiced at the thought of having tck off the market. specifically, for the first time ever, tck was not subject to the barrage of "when's your time?" questions. but maybe cuz none of the other boys and girls brought significant others... however, i believe there was an attempt to cast me as someone else's girlfriend...

i felt like such a kid!! it was great!! meeting "aunties and uncles," sneaking around/avoiding them, running around from the car to the hotel room for "breaths of fresh (more like carcinogenic) air" with all the other kids attempting to escape adult interrogation, sitting at the kids table... dude. watching all the moms and pops and grammies and little kids dancing to panjabi mc. more jewelry and make up than i'll ever touch, saris of every color under the sun (including tie-dye), and way more embarressment than i'll ever be able to handle.

in the midst of such organized chaos, i had much help. many thanks to precedent. in inter-asian relationships. and confiding friendships. for much needed advice/consoling on inter-asian relationships. specifically to sedate tck's mom. whooowheeee.
